Art tool tinkering

Because I like new art tools but can't seem to find any reason to buy any new interesting ones I need at the moment, I decided to modify an old art tool. My old Raphael kolinsky sable 2/0 brush had a handle that was cracking up. So I chopped it off. I used a Sherline lathe to cut and drill a piece of aluminium and the bamboo handle of an old chinese brush that was in bad shape. Then I stuck my old sable brush into the aluminium section. Now it's a portable brush I can throw into my pencil case. I made an old tool new!
