An extra quick loose style

These events happened last month. I wanted to record it down but it seemed like a longer narrative so I was putting it off. Finally, one morning, I decided to just draw it out beside my bed once I woke. I convinced myself to do it by deciding I'd draw it in an extra quick loose style. But a style that would still look finished and presentable enough to me. This is how I did it.

1. Draw outlines with lots of breaks (gaps) in them. This allows me to draw a lot quicker and I can skip out drawing a lot of finer details. I've seen this done in a few comics. (Like in this comic by James Stevenson) The human brain tends to fill in the gaps.

2. One that first morning, I did only the pictures all in one go. I played out the scenes in my head and drew them out one by one, directly in pen on paper. I left out the words. Words take a bit longer to sort out.

3. On another morning, I filled in the words all in one go. Breaking it up this way, allowed to keep each session short.

4. An on another day, I filled in the colours using Lisa Glanz's Delicious Texture Procreate Brushes* And I applied it using a lasso selection and with a mouse so I'd have even less control. This also kept it quick and simple.

Merry Christmas!
