Changing who I'm talking to

In this comic, I was trying out directing the comic at Toby instead of a general audience. I imagine him reading this years later and it might be cool if it spoke directly to him instead. I'm thinking, it could also have changed how the whole story feels. It felt it made it a bit more simpler and I wasn't concerned so much about how to make it interesting for the public. I just had to make it interesting for Toby to read (when he finally can). Right now, he's only started speaking and can only say these words. Drawn with a Parallel pen on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolours. Only digital process here was the scanning and a bit of touch up.
