Unpredictability

 

Not having full control on how my art will turn out can feel uncomfortable. But I like to challenge that. Get over the fear. Too much control where I am able to create exactly what I had in mind to draw isn't always fun. Sometimes, those pieces can feel a little boring or expected. I like the excitement I get from something unexpected. Here, I teamed up with my 2-year-old to create the piece above. Allowing him to direct my art in ways I wouldn't expect took me in a different direction. And then, after the unpredictable, I took control again and used the principles I know to complete the picture. This was an experiment. And it was also a time I could share with my son.
