Ollie is 11yrs old update
Gosh. Before I know it, many days have passed since my last post. Trying to publish something once every week can feel tiring at times. But on the flip side, I find that it keeps me producing and finishing stuff. Having an audience like you whom I can share art with certainly helps me stay motivated. So thanks for visiting again! Sure, it would be nice to be relaxed and chill all the time. It's a nice thought. But I also do find that a certain degree of pressure is good to balance that. It keeps me on my toes, keeps me sharp.
At the same time, I don't like the idea of just doing art for doing art, just churning it out. I want it to be something I really want to do- something meaningful to me. So I'm always asking myself, why do I want to do this piece? Is there a good reason?
Last week was my daughter, Ollie's, birthday. Some of you might have read her graphic novel. I used to do weekly even daily comic updates on her life. I've slowed down on that. But I did another one just after her birthday. It will help us remember this month, this year. She seemed to like it when I showed it to her. She said she looked cute in the last picture. Here's to you, Ollie!:)
